HarperCollins Christian Publishing is in search of a Marketing Coordinator for their Bibles division. The Marketing Coordinator helps on assigned marketing campaigns and assists Sr. Marketing Director and Bible marketing team with executing marketing, advertising and public relations tactics. The Marketing Coordinator project manages department reports, accountabilities, and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator include but are not limited to:
Project Management (70%)
• Assists team with execution of promotional plans and coordinate new product marketing plans and budgets as assigned
• Coordinate and manage special mailings as assigned
• Create and update product videos as needed per team’s product marketing plans
• Coordinate the development on the annual Bible catalog and elements for Bibles including print, online, and CD-ROM catalogs in addition to custom churchsource, cross-departmental, and partner catalogs
• Coordinate logistics for Bible Group photo shoots (scout & secure locations, models, photographer, clothes, props, mock-up product, collateral layout, shot list)
• Manage pre-and post-show event planning for conferences and tradeshows
• Conduct media planning once product marketing plan is approved
• Book media buys with multiple media sources
• Assign and manage ad creative execution through ad agency or freelance graphic artist per media plans once creative direction is set
• Help in the gathering of sales information related to market trends and help monitor marketing campaign performances.
Other Responsibilities (30%)
• Work with finance to assign account codes for each new ISBN. Set up in finance system at beginning of fiscal year
• and balance monthly according to forecast
• Work with Bible Marketing team to track marketing budgets
• Schedule guests, create agendas, and distribute notes & action item list for the weekly Bible Marketing team meeting.
• Assist with clerk incentive training initiatives as needed.
• Create promo pages as needed.
• Create cross product comparative analysis sheets
• Capture Bible Group action items at all sales meetings and presentations.
• Help with research analysis as directed by the senior director of marketing.
• Research potential award competitions and determine product submissions.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Desired candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, education and skills:
Knowledge: Proficient with MSOffice and MAC applications, especially PowerPoint
Work Experience: 1-2 years marketing related experience
Education: 4 year degree in marketing communications, advertising, design or marketing-related field required
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of Christian publishing industry preferred
Skills: Extremely detail oriented and experienced in multi-tasking in the coordination of all aspects of marketing campaigns. Experience using Excel, Pivot tables, Word, and PPT.
