Currently, we are seeking a Head of Events Marketing to manage the EMEA marketing team based in London. You will oversee a strategic, regionally nuanced approach to optimize paid registrations and VIP guest confirmations whilst ensuring the gold standard of global processes are upheld across social, online, print and direct channels and within cost parameters. The successful candidate will also develop and execute a select few marketing campaigns themselves, leading from the front with innovative and successful activity.
You will be working closely with the regional heads of programming, sales and operations to ensure the EMEA event schedule is delivered successfully and report in to the Global Head of Marketing.
Accountabilities:
In the role you would be expected to:
• Manage the local marketing and customer services team day-to-day
• Oversee regional event performance ensuring delegate revenue and guest targets are met
• Attend strategic kick-off meetings creating a planning brief with other regional heads
• Identify and assign marketers to each event setting clear campaign objectives
• Organise regular catch ups with direct reports to monitor performance
• Ensure the marketing campaigns are innovative integrating the full marketing mix
• Work with the Global Head of Marketing to determine the positioning and pricing of events
• Manage end-to-end employee life-cycle, including recruitment, appraisal and development
• Oversee regional telemarketing, ensuring compliance with standardised processes
• Ensure direct marketing budgets are managed by the marketers on each event
• Report fiscal performance monthly to global management team and finance
• Develop and execute effective end-to-end marketing campaigns for select events
• Help senior management advise Middle East delivery team in their approach
• Manage relationships with PR partners and associations to optimise event press coverage
• Monitor, track, and provide analysis to help measure KPI’s
• Collaborate with Group business colleagues to create effective cross marketing opportunities
• Anticipate stakeholder needs with the ability to think creatively and problem solve efficiently
• Work with project teams to ensure marketing contractual obligations are executed
• Lead development initiatives as agreed with the Global Head of Marketing
Experience, skills and professional attributes:
To succeed in the role you must have:
• Marketing experience within a B2B environment
• Management experience, or experience in a management field
• A demonstrable understanding of customer acquisition, online marketing and media channels
• Applied knowledge of lead management, CRM and data-led activity
• An analytical approach, with experience ideally in Google Analytics and Eloqua
• A real interest in exploring innovative marketing methods
• Hands-on experience of email deployment and back-end website editing tools
• Excellent written English and proof-reading skills
• Superior time management skills
• Previous experience of working effectively in a fast paced environment, meeting multiple tight deadlines
• A proficiency in CRM, EMS, CMS, Social and analytics platforms
