Overview and Responsibilities
The position will play a key role in the planning and finance activities of Paramount Television.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Prepare Paramount Television annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long range plan
• Maintain and run Television annual business plan excel model
• Develop and maintain series financial models/ultimates
• Maintain current knowledge of Television landscape including shifting market trends and business models across all platforms
• Special projects and ad hoc analysis as required
Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting; MBA preferred
• Minimum 7 years professional experience in Television Finance is preferred
• Entertainment or media industry experience preferred
Additional Qualifications
• Proficient in Excel - Position requires strong modeling skills; eg., ability to model talent and partner deals for series
• Proficient in PowerPoint – ability to run a presentation deck
• Knowledge of Hyperion
• Knowledge of Television accounting rules re: revenue recognition and amortization – to insure accurate forecasts
• Excellent analytical ability required. Needs to be able to synthesize information and communicate results in clear and reasoned way
