Responsibilities
Position Overview:
The Senior Video Producer ideates, writes and develops video concepts, pitches, treatments and scripts for our branded content across four sites: today.com, cnbc.com, msnbc.com, and NBC News. Reporting to the Editorial Director of Branded Content, the Senior Video Producer will be focused on executing our branded campaigns from beginning to end — from brainstorming ideas for new opportunities, to managing production and post-production during a campaign — and will ensure that all content (whether articles, videos, or graphics) meets editorial standards and achieves campaign goals. As a creative pioneer with a passion for developing unique partner solutions, the Senior Video Producer will be an expert at marrying NBC’s publishing ethos with a brand’s purpose and mission.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develop entertaining, informative and engaging video concepts to meet the objectives of our prospective partners
Ensure concepts are in line with brand objectives, maintain the NBCU voice and ethos, and can be executed within budget
Write, produce, and/or direct video content for distribution across all platforms
Organize and manage freelance production personnel where needed
Communicate with sales and marketing teams to ensure creative concepts are clear
Assist in the development of new video products and offerings
Build individual brand equity for each of NBCU’s sites
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years experience at a creative agency or online publisher
Must be proficient in Premiere, FCP and/or Avid (INCLUDE SOFTWARE NBCU USES)
Experience handling multiple projects with tight deadlines from pre- to post- production
Experience with basic color correction
Experience with After Effects, Photoshop and illustrator
Ability to do basic sound design and mixing
A deep knowledge of the social web, including experience producing visual work for a variety of apps and social networks
Experience working closely with tech and/or product teams
Must have script examples and produced work to show

Must be 18 years or older.
Desired Characteristics
Strong communication skills
Advanced knowledge of video pre-production, production and post-production including workflows and processes, equipment and software programs/tools
Motion graphics and titling experience a plus
A passion for advertising and graphic design
