As EA’s VP of Strategy and Operations for Mobile, Maxis, and Bioware, you will create partnerships with Studio GMs, evolve the central development services into an enabling function and division, form connections/relationships with key leaders across EA as well as work with internal groups such as Marketing, Publishing, testing and technology.
This role is responsible for ensuring that each of these organizations collaborates with multiple stakeholders to drive the long term innovative growth of EA and delivers exceptional products and services, while operating within its financial plan. This person will have a central role in evaluating how emerging technology can enable business opportunities and encourage innovation. We are looking for an inspirational & highly credible leader, who has the capability to articulate the current and future needs of EA’s Mobile, Maxis and Bioware divisions. This includes translating each divisions needs into actionable outcomes and manage a dispersed team effectively to get there. The successful candidate will have a strong mix of business, technical, innovative and managerial experience from the Console and Mobile space.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive transformative strategic initiatives across Mobile, Maxis and Bioware, including development best practices that yield efficiency and predictability and cultivating ideas to accelerate transformation
• Lead 3-year strategic planning process which consists of a production plan by studio, location strategy and high level resource plan
• Expertise and strategic vision in the area of Console and Mobile game development and live services
• Lead special projects demonstrating expertise in strategic and complex negotiatons and integrations, for activities including acquisitions, reorganizations and licensing related strategic opportunities
• Partner with central functions in Marketing, Publishing and technology to agree and monitor service level agreements for EA Mobile, Maxis and Bioware.
Key Qualifications:
• We are looking for someone who lives and breathes games, has a strong mix of technical interest, business acumen and people leadership exposure from the gaming industry, and a track record of delivery.
• A minimum of five (5) years in the games industry and three (3) years as a Vice President of Operations or similar role.
• In-depth experience in both Console and Mobile development best practices
• Strong business acumen, analytical thinking with hands on understanding of free-to-play KPIs
• Ability to lead and engage a high performing Operations team
• Experience managing a significant and global organization across Europe, Asia and Americas.
• The candidate should possess strategic exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to consistently deliver to deadlines and in complex business environments.
