VP of NY National Ad Sales will supervise the day-to-day activities of the AMC/SundanceTV NY based sales force. He/She directs the assignment of account lists, evaluation of sales performance, and ensures compliance with sales procedures and accountability. The VP will supervise the Account Executives and Sales Assistants in the New York Office. He/She will maintain ongoing relationships with all of the major advertising agencies doing business in the New York market. He/She will coordinate activities and splits with the national offices when dealing with accounts which are planned outside of the New York market. The VP, NY National Sales is responsible for attaining and exceeding the sales budget by maximizing share from existing clients and generating new revenue streams for AMC and SundanceTV.
With Regard to Data Solution Sales, this position is responsible for overseeing the development and monetization (revenue) of all advanced and data driven TV advertising opportunities across the AMC Networks portfolio. Candidate will work closely with Business Intelligence/Data Science, Research, Product, P&I and AD Sales teams to enhance or develop new relationships with national advertisers seeking to leverage data driven tactics across the entire AMC Networks portfolio. Candidate should have a strong background working on data applications across both TV and Digital landscape and have strong understanding of the major players emerging in this space.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Meet and exceed NY advertising sales budget; generate new business and increase share on existing accounts.
• Supervise the daily activities of NY based sales force, determine and monitor agency/account assignments of Account Executives
• Provide leadership, direction, and resources as needed for NY sales staff performance and growth.
• Train and develop NY sales staff to ensure goals and objectives are met
• Develop and implement short and long term strategic sales plans for AMC and SundanceTV
• Maintain daily contact with Pricing and Planning group
• Serve as management contact and interface with the advertising community
• Identify and activate data driven video monetization strategies/opportunities across: Linear, Digital, VOD, and OTT
• Work closely with National Sales team to cultivate data driven strategies for clients, leveraging existing marketplace relationships
• Accompany sales team on national sales calls and present/demo Data product offerings in marketplace
• Work with AD Sales Marketing team to develop/enhance materials for presenting AMCN Data product offerings
• Promote strategic thinking around enterprise opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
• Candidates must have at least 15 years of cable selling experience.
• Individual needs to possess analytical skills deemed vital to the sales process; marketing, programming, competitive information, analyzing research information and reporting financials.
• Leadership qualities are needed to manage. Must possess excellent communication skills both verbally and written and must be a team player. Must have strong strategic skills for identifying targets and negotiating skills for maximizing revenue.
• Strong Client and Agency relationships
• Managerial experience
• 5+ years in Advanced Advertising preferred
