Summary of role:
• Senior Analyst in the finance transformation team with the responsibility for implementing process improvement and standardization across PFS.
• Performance of activity to the highest standards. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Main activities/responsibilities:
• Senior member of transformation team reporting to transformation team lead with primary goal of implementing meaningful and measureable process improvement and efficiencies across all departments of Pearson Finance Services.
• Assist in the implementation of process standardization and improvement as identified and assigned by Transformation Team lead and other stakeholders
• Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders to maximize customer service and meet Performance Management targets.
• Identify where appropriate opportunities for continuous process improvement and simplification.
• Assist in managing the impact of changes to Pearson systems (eg TEP) on processes and team.
• Help to create a work atmosphere conducive to a high degree of integrity and teamwork.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by promptly following up on customers’ requests for information.
• Ensure SLAs are met and service is delivered to end users as expected.
Qualifications and experience required:
• Part Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Excellent communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills
• Familiarity with Financial and ERP systems (Hyperion and Oracle a distinct advantage)
• Experience of process improvement desirable
• Project management experience desirable
• Demonstrable knowledge around finance function processes
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Flexibility to meet tight and changing deadlines.
