Consumers around the world are embracing the Internet TV revolution. We are live in 190 countries and are learning and testing our way into the most effective way to market and brand our shows. The Marketing Data Engineering and Analytics team is crucial in helping Netflix reach global scale. Brand awareness, consumer behavior, and demand generation/collection sit at the intersection of art and science here at Netflix and data is a common thread connecting them. We are looking for an exceptional analytics guru to craft and execute an insights roadmap to help us learn about consumer behavior and brand awareness.
What You Will Do:
• Apply your exceptional analytics expertise for deeper understanding of brand/title demand, audience, and social platform performances.
• Combine qualitative and quantitative consumer data to inform audience segmentation and identify white spaces within markets.
• Serve as the product manager for social listening, title demand modeling, consumer behavior and social analytics.
• Continually research and improve new methods and technologies in the analytics and visualization space. Apply your learnings to what you build.
• Be a strategic partner and influencer with wide cross functional team of business users, research scientists, and engineers.
• Transform the way our marketers consume data and insights through highly usable and visually stunning data products.
Who You Are:
• Very senior analytics individual who has held broad domain ownership for 5+ years in consumer media, marketing and entertainment.
• Expert at querying and manipulating petabytes of data for analysis and visualization, using SQL, R, Python, etc.
• Experience in manipulating and building data sets off petabytes of data, using parallel computing platforms.
• Experience with leveraging various behavioral/engagement, social listening, and voice of customer data sets and tools.
• You strive for creativity, out of the box thinking, and experimentation in your work and projects.
• A quant who can tell a story with data, as well as visualize it with a variety of tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, D3, etc).
• Comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a fast moving, ever changing environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Can problem solve your way out of anything.
