Electronic Arts is currently seeking a Senior Designer to join our EA Mobile team in Sacramento, CA. We are looking for an experienced designer who will embrace a culture of rigorous belief-questioning and intent-to-implementation design analysis.
As a Senior Designer you will:
• Communicate player experience and design intent to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop design specifications, including but not limited to mechanics, guidelines, UI flows, game loops, crafting and progression.
• Plan and define economy and gameplay tuning. Collaborate with Product Management and User Experience team to collect and integrate feedback from telemetry and user testing.
• Work with the Producer to define and drive feature and content design.
• Collaborate with team members across disciplines to implement and iterate on the game vision.
• Lead design/game team to ship on time at the highest possible quality.
• Manage or mentor other designers on the team or across the company.
• Evolve design decisions based on prototyping, regular play testing, audience feedback, and live game telemetry.
• Inspire the team through creative design and leadership.
• Remain current on industry trends including: new game genres, new game design methods and emerging platforms.
The next great EA Senior Designer also needs:
• Passion for crafting amazing gaming experiences for the mobile platform
• 5+ years of game design experience within the mobile space with shipped titles.
• Strong creative identity, imagination and holistic game design skills.
• Understanding of systems, social, feature, game balancing/tuning, events, elder game design and being able to articulate level of experience in each with examples.
• Demonstrable ability of ecosystem design - the ability to connect features and systems to create a healthy game.
• A player centric approach with an ability to articulate the player experience.
• Knowledge of and affinity for the mobile games audience.
• Solid knowledge of game industry, trends, competition, platforms and market.
• Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively at the team, studio and organization levels.
