DESCRIPTION:
The Creative Director will develop and implement creative marketing materials for all Showtime programming to maximize program awareness and ratings while also maintaining a cohesive brand identity. Position is responsible for leading, managing, motivating and directing the activities of multiple creative teams that produce all program promotion for Showtime original series, theatricals, documentaries, comedy, specials and sports programming - inspiring and cultivating the highest level of creative.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Oversee several creative teams (staff and freelance) in the development and execution of creative to promote and market all programming initiatives on Showtime. Push the creative boundaries of traditional promotion and establish new creative standards that result in building the brand and driving viewership across all platforms.
• Conceive, write, produce and develop groundbreaking creative that is inclusive of our multi-platform objectives to promote Showtime programming. Build and manage a trusting team environment in which people are inspired to take risks and achieve creative excellence.
• Direct support staff within the broadcast creative group, as well as extensive outside staff and vendors, including graphic designers, production managers, on-camera talent, music composers, editors, cameramen, and audio engineers
• Manage creative teams’ work through approved schedule and budget process as well as oversee its review and self assessment. Work closely with Production Management to ensure fiscal management of projects and overall unit budget.
• Approve all work and creative generated by team(s), before presenting to upper management.
• Liaison with Programming, Scheduling, Marketing Partners, Digital Media, etc. for strategic as well as tactical coordination
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 7 to 9 years creative experience in the areas of On-air Promotion and Marketing, with a minimum of 4 years supervisory experience.
Experience in Cable TV, Programming or Broadcast Satellite services desired.
A firm understanding of brand imaging is key.
A creative visionary who also demonstrates a strategic mindset.
Strong communication, organizational and team-building skills.
Demonstrated abilities to motivate, grow and nurture creative talent.
Knowledge of entertainment and promotion industry including personnel, vendors, and industry standards.
In depth knowledge of audio and video production including editing, mixing, writing and directing.
