Job Summary:
This role maintains confidentiality, accuracy, full compliance and strong internal controls and drives processes to eliminate waste and improve efficiency. It will be an integral member of our growing and dynamic Accounting team. This role will ensure timely and accurate processing of all sales related commissions and bonuses, as well as other company compensation plans. It is a critical role to the day-to-day operations of the company, interacting daily with Executive Leaders, Senior Managers, Sales Representatives as well as HR, Finance and Accounting teams.
• Review offer letters and communicating bridge/guarantees for new AEs to payroll department
• Calculate, adjust, and process sales commissions and other variable compensation for the Sales team as well as any other compensation plans as appropriate per company guidelines. This includes compensation accruals and payouts.
• Timely remittance to payroll of all appropriate payouts related to commissions and/or bonus.
• Input changes to compensation plans and percentages as well as audit, cross reference other reports, invoices and data research for accuracy.
• Receives and provide proper explanations to calls with questions from sales team members
• Identify, research and reconcile any discrepancies; as well as research and problem solve
• Reconcile compensation accounts and maintain proper roll-forwards
• Process changes to Sales Rep and Manager commission splits; annual reviews, and change in commission tables
• Strict adherence to the compensation plan; understand the invoicing, exceptions and approvals process.
• Performing tasks to establish and maintain appropriate records
• Documenting and updating procedures.
• Ensuring system compliance with all company guidelines.
• Run queries and analysis supporting company initiatives
• Develop high quality reports and analyses
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• This person must be able to work with the pressure of regular deadlines.
• This position requires a person who is highly organized and pays great attention to detail.
• Expert mathematical reasoning skills are also required, in addition to proficiency in necessary computer skills.
• Excellent analytical and independent thinking skills
• Must exercise considerable planning, judgment and ability to work independently.
• Must be able to prioritize, problem solve, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information
Desired Qualifications:
• Deep analytical reporting experience: Demonstrated data manipulation skills, including work with complex data structures, commission plan structures; compensation plans.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, collaboration and presentation skills
• Previous experience demonstrating change and support for innovation and for organizational changes needed to improve the organizations effectiveness.
• Strong quantitative background and must understand how all transactions affect the bottom line.
