Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Internal Digital Communications will be responsible for managing day-to-day operation of Comcast's recently relaunched intranet site which serves almost 90,000 employees and have oversight of site-related content governance. The Senior Manager will also identify and enable the use of distribution and communications tools to find new and innovative ways to engage and inform Comcast employees companywide. Additionally, this role will have expertise in metrics and analytics in order to develop a robust analytics program to help assess employee communications effectiveness across a number of key platforms, including the company intranet and other mass communications tools. This role sits within Comcast's Corporate Internal Communications function.
Core Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement a unified metrics/analytics strategy to effectively measure employee engagement across multiple platforms, including the company intranet, internal social channels and mass communications tools.
-Distribute and share analytics updates and dashboards with key leaders, partners and content contributors on an ongoing basis.
-Manage and recommend the use of internal e-mail tools. Identify opportunities for improved distribution processes. Responsible for collecting and analyzing associated metrics.
-Manage the distribution of companywide internal digital communications assets (digital signage, intranet digital assets, etc.)
-Work closely with content owners and internal communicators across the company, administering the adoption of content governance standards and editorial guidelines as well as providing guidance on how to best position their communications for greatest visibility, informed by analytics.
-Support the long-term strategy to improve the features/functionality and technology associated with the company intranet.
-Ability to effectively interact with Comcast and vendor technology teams.
-Identify efficiencies and best practices for the ongoing content management training program for content owners.
Job Specification:
-10 years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
-Demonstrated track record of conducting successful, proactive internal communications programs and tactics that employ creativity and use a variety of tools, forums and media.
-Experience managing an analytics strategy and/or program for multiple communications channels, including the ability to identify and distill trends.
-Mastery of web analytics tools; Experience with Adobe Omniture analytics a plus.
-Ability to discover, quickly master and apply new web technologies.
-Knowledge of user experience best practices as it pertains to digital communications.
-Experience tracking and defining effectiveness of social communications campaigns.
-Familiarity with Content Management Systems and content publishing best practices; Experience with SiteCore a plus.
-Preferred knowledge of HTML as well as basic Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suites.
-Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management.
-Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
