Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Engagement and On-boarding, this position manages, executes and is responsible for marketing initiatives serving subscriber retention, engagement and loyalty. The right person for this role will be able to oversee many complicated projects at once, lead with strong project management skills, and have acute attention to detail. The role has a specific focus on developing and executing impactful campaigns with quality that drive engagement and retention metrics owned by Marketing. This position interacts with many departments within SiriusXM and requires a seasoned, high-energy Marketing performer with a broad range of ability. You will be supported by an internal Marketing team of six direct reports and work closely with both internal and external partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee retention campaigns that are executed with excellence and produce business results.
• For campaigns in market; look for ways to refine, improve operationally, test to optimize results in the practice of continual improvement.
• Manage and oversee the subscriber on-boarding life segment driving to lower early attrition by acclimating the customer to our services and programming on a path from discovery to loyalty.
• Accountable for metrics of the retentive attributes like - subscriber email penetration, listening preference capture and streaming usage.
• Responsible for subscriber engagement / loyalty campaigns that support the customer value proposition or provide added value to the customer.
• Marketing owner of the subscriber newsletter.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Oversee a team of marketing managers.
• Support the management development and career path of each manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
• BA or BS in Marketing, Business, English or a related area; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing people.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Hands-on experience with executing complex campaigns in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to take ownership of projects and manage them within a fast paced timeline and to follow through.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have expert knowledge in event marketing and execution.
• Must have expert knowledge of digital (email) campaign using variable copy, digital assets and data driven content.
• Must have deep experience working with segmentation (both custom and demographic) data in creating content and targeting campaigns.
• Ability to work well with and manage a number of different personalities.
• Self-motivated, proactive team player and independent worker.
• Must have a collaborative work process.
• Strong process-oriented, operational thinking mind.
• Ability to learn and be an organizational troubleshooting source.
• Strong interest in music and pop culture.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when needed.
• Some travel may be required, no more than approximately 40 days out of the office per year.
• Enthusiastic positive attitude with an exceptional attention to detail.
• Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
• Proofreading and budget forecasting.
• Solid communication skills -- both written and verbal.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to create and update Excel spreadsheets/charts.
