SUMMARY:
The Associate Editor is responsible for maintaining status reports as required on behalf of the acquisition editors, checking sales histories and requesting sales reports. They are accountable for collecting both market and competitive information and preparing price and win/loss analyses. The Associate Editor is in charge of responding to miscellaneous queries and requests from both internal and external sources. This position plays a key role in commissioning, tracking, and obtaining peer reviews as needed, and will also be responsible for program set up in PCS.
Qualifications
• Completion of a university degree
• Previous editorial experience would be an asset
• Prior experience as a teacher, teaching assistant, or tutor would also be an asset
Skills/knowledge/abilities
• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
• Proficient with computers; including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer and PowerPoint
• Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented and strong ability to multi-task
• Superior analytical and project management skills
• Adaptable problem-solver and team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
