Senior Marketing Manager, Third Party Partnerships
Overview
SPHE currently has a permanent position for a Senior Marketing Manager - Third Party Partnerships to manage a third party distribution relationship across EMEA territories (excl UK) with responsibility for building and growing SPHE’S relationship with the partner, onboarding of the partner into the Sony ecosystem and strategic leadership of the label in all territories.
This role has full ownership and accountability for the set up and marketing of a slate of acquisition product under one label reporting to the Head of Product marketing based in London. The current scope of the role consists of management of one slate of partner Television product but remit has the potential to be extended to include other label responsibility as SPHE increase their focus within the third party space.
The role will be accountable for delivery of SPHE’s 3 year financial commitments across EMEA. It will be responsible for developing and implementing the release strategy for all label television content as well as being the main relationship holder with the partner across all territories. This will include creation of bespoke territory specific release plans for each franchise, asset sourcing and creation, development & delivery of media and PR plans across territory and creative review & approvals with the partner.
The secondary element of the role is operationally led and includes programming across territories, making recommendations for aligning and streamlining communication and workflows to mirror existing SPHE processes, project tracking & timeline co-ordination, reporting & invoicing and budget management.
Core Responsibilities will include:
65% Marketing –
Ownership of all internal and external activities for the label brand to ensure all marketing, operational and revenue generating activities are optimized across rights holding territories (global excluding US, Canada and UK)
• Full accountability for defining the annual release strategy and managing the labels portfolio through the budget process to execution, working alongside marketing teams within all key markets
• Ownership of title and SKU selection and planning for new release and catalogue product across multiple markets ensuring we are in line with any relevant local holdbacks
• Preparation of engaging marketing overviews and sell in decks for label brand across new release and catalogue Blu-ray and DVD product to lead product sell in the individual markets, this will involve close collaboration with the UK partner team
• Product management - communication of release strategy to EMEA markets and point person for close collaboration with international media and PR teams.
• Accountable for driving territory performance, working collaboratively with each market to maximize the opportunity of each and every New Release brand and pushing catalogue opportunities.
• Development of marketing materials and management of partner approvals
• Managing process for delivering marketing assets to market and understanding of asset availability & applicable restrictions
• Creative review & approvals for marketing campaigns from EMEA markets to partner where new assets are created
• Providing marketing activity updates and overviews and managing partner requests
• Working with agencies & internal teams to fulfill SPHE commitments to partner
• Maintain high levels of knowledge of technological developments to ensure all marketing activities are fully maximised.
• Using SPE propriety systems to manage workflows and asset delivery as well as partner systems for approvals
20% Operations project management and co-ordination
Coordination will include:
• Project management– working with commercial and operations as well as partner teams to ensure smooth transition of the product to the market across all key territories
• Creation of project tracking tools, critical path and timeline management.
• Monitor & update master project plans and assist communicating deadlines to relevant stakeholders.
• Create project/product review documents & presentations for internal teams or partner as required.
• Scheduling calls & co-ordinate meetings & requirements
• Raise purchase orders, track project work & manage budgets
15% - Third party business development
Opportunity to work alongside Head of Marketing, to drive new content acquisition opportunities and further third party partnerships, including everything from scoping opportunities, managing and driving potential pitches and project managing successful acquisitions.
• Evaluate certain third party opportunities, in collaboration with the insights team, including analysis of potential acquisitions to ascertain viability and predict performance level
• Depending on workload, project manage and define release strategy for range of current SPHE acquisitions either signed or already in progress.
Preferred Qualifications and/or Experience
Suitable candidates will typically have previous experience in Entertainment or International marketing, as well as:
