Job Summary:

The Lead Business Analyst – Analytics Platform will be expected to have one foot in the technology that makes up the analytical platform as well as one foot immursed in the business. This balance of knowledge and experience will be used to help business partners find new an innovate ways to leverage this data for analytical insight and more efficient operational action.
Responsibilities:
• Elicit requirements from stakeholders using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process analysis, use cases or user stories, scenarios, event lists, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis.
• Work with the product manager or project sponsor to document the project’s business requirements and support efforts.
• Deliver business requirements documentation and associated artifacts. Collaborate with stakeholders to get stakeholder buy-in of business requirements.
• Work with stakeholders on defining, documenting and maintaining standard KPIs and metrics.
• Work with business partners to define, design and even help develop standard reports and dashboards.
• Work with engineering teams to explain and where necessary clarify business requirements.
• Act as a bridge between engineering and business teams. Translate the tech speak to business speak.
• Keep an updated repository of common metrics, dimensions and corresponding subject areas available in the Analytical Platform.
Requirements:
• B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Masters in Business, Finance and/or Marketing.
• Experience collecting, writing and facilitating the prioritization of requirements.
• Experience using and building reports and dashboards
• Experience managing software and or data warehouse projects a plus.
• Must have a good understanding of and experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Business Objects, Excel and etc.
• Must have strong ANSI SQL skills and experience
• Experience with cloud-based big data platforms such as EMR, Hadoop, Hive, Presto, and Redshift a plus.
• Experience working with unstructured data a plus.
• Must be able to work in an agile development environment and comfortable managing shifting priorities.
• Exceptional communication and Presentation skills are a must in this role.
