Overview and Responsibilities
The Coordinator Visual FX is responsible for project coordination, management and overall support of the Physical Production with special emphasis on the Visual Effects area.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• Supervise overall department calendar and correspondence
• Manage expense reports, travel and office purchases
• Manage and maintain in depth digital and paper file system for all films
• Manage Relationship with VFX vendors
• Coordinate meetings including catering and take notes
• Maintain overall schedule for preview screenings, contractual turnover dates, final delivery dates and any other key contractual milestones
• Perform additional miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
• Capability to read, understand financial plans and budgets
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in Visual Effects Production environment
• Strong PC skills
• *Superior skill set in problem-solving, time-management, multi-tasking, and operating in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Able to coordinate distribution effort
• Able to maintain up-to-date and accurate files
• Able to create and revise reports on personal computer system
• Ability to flex both work and communication style in order to transition fluidly between working independently and leveraging team assets.
Additional Qualifications
• Great communication and presentation skills
• The ability to effectively handle multiple projects and responsibilities under pressure with minimal supervision is essential
• The ability to work flexible hours is necessary
