Responsibilities
NBC Entertainment, which has earned more Emmy Awards than any network in television history, is dedicated to developing and scheduling programming for the network’s alternative, primetime, late-night and daytime schedules. This internship role primarily supports the late night programming.
• Assist the Digital Art Director in creating social media, marketing, product, and sales design elements for the NBC late night shows (Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live). More specifically:
• Developing motion graphics pieces (intro/titles, lower thirds, transitions, subtitles, animated typography, etc) to be used on multiple different platforms (including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, nbc.com, and tumblr)
• Communicate and present design concepts to the Digital Art Director and project teams
• Deliver engaging and high quality creative assets for assigned projects for all digital platforms
• Develop strong relationships with our Design, User Experience, Creative, Marketing and Project Teams to ensure quality deliverables, budgets, and timelines are met.
• Establish and maintain digital brand style guide parameters for assigned series and programs.
• Actively work to gain knowledge and experience regarding NBC Entertainment Digital Design & Experience Philosophy, products, processes, consumer trends and overall culture.
• Inspire new ideas for Design, UX & Creative Teams through active participation in meetings.

Qualifications/Requirements
• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a visa or sponsorship (CPT-seeking candidates not accepted)
• Must be able to work on-site in Universal City, CA
Desired Characteristics
• Social Design, Motion & Visual Design, Responsive/Adaptive Design, and Marketing Campaign design skills are highly required.
• Strong Working Knowledge of Adobe CC, not just Photoshop/Illustrator, but also including After Effects and Premiere are required. (Vector manipulation, photo editing, Photoshop manipulation, animation, video editing, and typography layout are all crucial parts of the role)
• Strong working knowledge of social platforms: Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube and Instagram.
• Core understanding of designing for Mobile, Social and emerging digital platforms required (which could include app design, EST work, web design, VR, etc)
• Education in Motion, Visual or Interactive Design for Digital is required.
• Candidates who move forward in the process will need to supply a portfolio via online or in .pdf.
