Job Summary:
The Software Development Manager, IT integration, will be responsible for setting a clear software engineering vision for the future of integration of digital advertising applications. This technology leader will design, develop, test and maintain middleware applications and tools. Successful execution of this role will combine internal application development with external integration and vendor management, strong software engineering discipline and excellent team and people management.

The company owns and operates 850+ broadcast radio stations, serving more than 150 markets throughout the U.S. Plus, iHeartRadio - a free, industry-leading, digital music service - gives users instant access to more than 2,000 live radio stations and allows them to create custom stations inspired by favorite artists or songs, anywhere they are.
The Software Development Manager, IT integration, will be responsible for setting a clear software engineering vision for the future of integration of digital advertising applications. This technology leader will design, develop, test and maintain middleware applications and tools. Successful execution of this role will combine internal application development with external integration and vendor management, strong software engineering discipline and excellent team and people management.
Responsibilities:
• Lead requirements analysis, systems analysis, solution architecture, technical design, coding, unit testing, test automation, regression testing, performance testing, environment provisioning, 3rd level support, production and test deployments, CI/CD pipeline automation for middleware applications at iHeartMedia
• Provide technical thought leadership in scrum teams, optimize technical decisions to maximize scrum team velocity and support business teams in all aspects of backlog prioritization.
• Establish strong partnerships with other IT teams (enterprise architecture, information management, operations).
• Refactor and extend existing systems and technologies in accordance with architecture and strategy.
• Contribute to make/buy decisions and vendor selection activities.
• Develop team members (career, training) to achieve excellent employee satisfaction metrics.
• Keep abreast of industry standards and ensure we are driving those that are important to us and aligned with others as appropriate.
• Keep track of innovation and technology trends in relevant industries and also of leading vendors.
• Understand product roadmaps for key technology vendors and ensure that we are driving and aligning where appropriate.
• Ensure high levels of operational discipline and high availability for middleware platforms.
• Establish strong IT service management, monitoring and capacity planning competencies.
• Create a data-driven culture with high standards of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• Experience with one or more of the following sets of technologies
• Dell Boomi/Mulesoft/Apigee
• Google Cloud PubSub/Amazon SNS/SQS
• Apache Flume/ Kinesis/ Storm / Kafka
• Ability to articulate a technology vision, leveraging cloud, DevOps, micorservices and APIs, open source, agile, and performance engineering. Enthusiasm, energy and communication skills to engage the business and technical peers in this vision.
• Ability to implement a fully automated CI/CD pipeline, from code checking to production deployment.
• Ability to code, design and lead development teams to produce error free software, meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ability to leverage cloud environments, both Iaas and PaaS.
• Ability to leverage open source software to reduce/eliminate software licensing costs.
• Ability to hire top talent and build coherent and well organized team with focus on exceeding employee satisfaction.
• Ability to lead developers and manage peers through influence.
• Ability to establish a data-driven culture and a repeatable, structured and disciplined approach to the full systems lifecycle.
• Project and program management, planning and organizational skills.
Experience:
• B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 3+ years leading software development teams of at least 5 people.
• 5+ years experience delivering software in an agile software organization.
• 3+ years using cloud IaaS or PaaS products.
• 7+ years coding and delivering high quality software as a developer.
• Demonstrated track record of hiring excellent developers.
• Demonstrated experience building distributed enterprise systems, with intuitive web-based UI, rules-based business logic and NoSQL databases.
