Job Summary:
The Senior UX designer will be tasked with the challenge of transforming the user experience of all applications used at iHeartMedia to sell and fulfill ads. This role will work with business and IT delivery teams to design and deliver a new UX concept that breaks with traditional form-based client applications in favor of intuitive web UIs. The successful execution of this role will combine passion for UX innovation, ability to prototype and an excellent understanding of usability best practices for IT applications.

The company owns and operates 850+ broadcast radio stations, serving more than 150 markets throughout the U.S. Plus, iHeartRadio - a free, industry-leading, digital music service - gives users instant access to more than 2,000 live radio stations and allows them to create custom stations inspired by favorite artists or songs, anywhere they are.
The Senior UX designer will be tasked with the challenge of transforming the user experience of all applications used at iHeartMedia to sell and fulfill ads. This role will work with business and IT delivery teams to design and deliver a new UX concept that breaks with traditional form-based client applications in favor of intuitive web UIs. The successful execution of this role will combine passion for UX innovation, ability to prototype and an excellent understanding of usability best practices for IT applications.
Responsibilities:
• Understand user needs through usability studies, focus groups, and web analytics analysis
• Develop design visions, directions and guidelines for the iHeartMedia software engineering organization
• Develop mockups, storyboards, wireframes, interaction flows and copy for the delivery teams
• Continuously refine the user experience of new and existing applications through quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Keep abreast of new UI design concepts and technologies
• Support user validation and user acceptance testing
• Champion the UX transformation for advertising applications at iHeartMedia
Qualifications:
• Ability to create mockups and prototypes and quickly refine them through interactions with business users and delivery teams
• Ability to establish a data-driven culture and a repeatable, structured and disciplined approach to the UX development process.
• Ability to design UX for both internal applications (used by employees) and external applications (public websites)
• Full hands on proficiency with CSS and Javascript
• Full hansd on proficiency with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to articulate and justify design decisions
• Ability to effectively present designs from concept to production
• Ability to present a portfolio of highly created UX work
Experience:
• B.S. in Human Computer Interaction, Fine Arts or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in UX design
