We are building the next generation of the Bloomberg Customer Service Center (CSC). The Bloomberg CSC is a web-based, one-stop-shop portal that customers use to place new orders, digitally sign pending contracts, administer exchange entitlements and manage their suite of Enterprise products. The Bloomberg Enterprise Open-Data portal offers a searchable catalog of Bloomberg datasets which includes its metadata and documentation. Datasets will be clean and tidy, machine-readable and made available via modern delivery technologies like secure RESTful APIs and web services.
The portal leverages modern web technologies and is built to support the high volume of Bloomberg customers 24x7 across the globe. Being a key contributor throughout the entire SDLC, you will be required to think outside the box and bring cutting edge technologies in-house. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with product owners/business counterparts to understand their needs through the SDLC.
You’ll need to have:
• 3+ years of experience programming in JavaScript using Node.js, React.js, Express and/or AngularJS
• Experience with different internet browsers, their versions and idiosyncrasies
• Experience building RESTful APIs and/or web services with exposure to C#, C++ or Java
• Desire to develop at all levels of the application stack, from front-end to back-end components
We’d love to see:
• Experience working with 'Data on the web' e.g Open Data frameworks such as CKAN/DKAN
• Knowledge of web application security and threat mediation techniques
• Interest in open-source technologies and contributing back to them
