Responsibilities
NBCUniversal International seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of VP, Business Development. This leadership position will manage strategic planning and business development activities for NBCU Int’l in the EMEA region. Specific projects will include research, analysis, modeling, and recommendations related to emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, and internal business performance improvement. The position offers unique exposure to a wide variety of businesses within the media and entertainment industry.
Qualifications/Requirements
The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:
– Work closely with senior management to execute current strategy and formulate new growth strategies for NBCU Int’l businesses in the region
– Prepare strategic market analyses to identify potential areas of future growth across TV, film and new digital businesses related to media. Includes preparation of corporate profiles, strategic market analyses, updates on ongoing market trends and M&A activity.
– Identify market trends in a fast-evolving digital market and recommend a coherent point of view on areas for NBCU to invest in
– Partner with the (co-located) central BD team on assessing new investment opportunities and executing large-scale transactions
– Lead in sourcing and developing specific digital investment opportunities (both organic and in conjunction with int’l corporates)
– Lead development of internal business ideas, working with local employee base in the region
– Work alongside Comcast and NBCU Int’l on equity-related transactions, including potential investments in digital businesses, TV production and linear channels.
– Identify and evaluate organic business development opportunities, including preparation of business plans and financial models
Qualifications/Requirements
NBCUniversal is seeking exceptional candidates with significant experience in strategic planning, management consulting, business development or investment banking, ideally in the entertainment or media technology industries. The role requires superior strategic, financial and relationship skills. The individual must possess the ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management, ranging from senior corporate executives to business unit managers and third parties. The ideal candidate will also possess:

– A solid understanding of the media business, including the evolution in digital distribution
– Business-level proficiency in English a must
– Fun and lively personality with the proven ability to interact successfully in multi-cultural environment and with executives at both senior and more junior levels
