Position Summary
Reporting to the Head of Audit and Quality within the Audit and Quality, Business Improvement and Regulation (BIR) division.
The purpose of this role is to support the Vocational Qualifications Test Inspections (VQTI) Manager to ensure the successful running of the Vocational Qualifications Test Inspections programme. The programme will involve all BTEC Security qualifications, Functional Skills and Licence to Practice centres. The VQTI Team Administrator will also assist other teams within BIR when the need arises.
Key Role-Specific Deliverables
• Assist the VQTI Manager in the resolution of all test inspector and centre queries
• Liaise with centres to obtain information required for test inspections and be a point of contact for centres and test inspectors
• Be responsible for the manual logging of test notifications, the timely allocation of test inspectors according to agreed targets and SLAs, the logging of test inspection reports and sending the reports to centres
• Assist the VQTI Manager in collating and reporting data related to the Test Inspections programme
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external colleagues, customers and senior managers
• Liaise with other key stakeholders within Pearson and other external organisations and centres as required in connection with the role
• Support Assessment Associate training delivery and monitoring
• Provide high quality administrative support to the Director of BIR, Head of Audit and Quality, VQTI Manager and other teams as required
• Undertake any other activities identified through line management that are required for effective execution of the role
Qualifications
Previous Work Experience
Essential:
• Previous administrative experience
• Previous experience of working under pressure and completing multiple tasks within tight deadlines
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively and professionally with colleagues, stakeholders and customers at all levels
Desirable:
• Previous experience in a services environment
• Awareness of the educational sector
• Understanding of vocational qualifications
• Awareness of malpractice issues
• Working within a regulated framework
Education
Essential:
• 5 GCSEs at A-C, including Mathematics and English, or equivalent
Desirable:
• Education to degree level
Systems, Tools & IT Literacy
Essential:
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite and Google applications
Desirable:
• Experience in using Pearson systems , for example EOL, IQS and iSeries
