DESCRIPTION:
• Manage large, multiple projects to ensure the overall program is closely aligned to and directly supports the achievement of CBS's strategic objectives in a professional and successful way through a staff of project and/or program managers.
• Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span multiple lines of business and strategic partners.
• Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
• Apply highly advanced technologies, principles, theories and concepts. Viewed as expert within the field.
• Often serves as consultant to senior management in long-range company planning on projects impacting the success of the organization.
• Understand the interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
• Ensure consistent use of common processes across all projects.
• Ensure the work effort remains feasible from a business standpoint.
• Has both business and technical focus. Ensure the program is successful in both aspects.
• Keep senior management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
• Ensure that the program goals/milestones are met and budgets are in accordance with financial goals.
• Manage people directly and other resources indirectly as part of a cross-functional team that is required to complete a project.
• Analyze current state and design of future state processes.
• Develop and define a structure and operating model for the program.
• Establish and track success criteria and metrics for the program.
• Act as internal quality control check for all /projects to ensure they meet client requirements.
• Represent company at internal and external meetings and develop professional working relationships with key opinion leaders in software industry.
• Monitor and control the activities and performance of staff under his/her supervision.
• Assign as well as re-distribute duties among staff to meet various workload pressures and due dates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• 12-15 years of experience in an IT leadership role, managing a multi-faceted technical/functional area in the delivery of IT projects and enhancements.
• Minimum of 8 years of managerial experience with significant experience running large projects.
• Must have demonstrated success in an executive leadership role.
• Entertainment industry experience is strongly desired
• Previous experience working across organizational lines to achieve creative solutions.
• Know of enterprise system software solutions and the integration of business process design to final solution determination.
• Management of IT budgets exceeding $5 million for a single large project excluding hardware/infrastructure costs.
• In-depth knowledge of all phases of system development lifecycle, including production support.
• Senior level project management skills (e.g., ability to manage single large, complex project and/or multiple concurrent interrelated projects).
• Ability to effectively manage large teams (30-40)
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of management and staff.
• Ability to staff, motivate and develop a highly productive and effective workforce.
• Ability to work successfully across organizational lines and influence outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to grasp the "big picture".
• Must have competence in preparing presentation quality documents and executive level summaries.
• BS required. MS/MBA preferred
