Job Summary:
The APS organization within Systems Engineering owns the core services platforms supporting applications/channels participating in the sales, ordering and activation space for residential customer services. This candidate will set product standards, provide consulting as necessary; while directing multiple teams of professionals.
Core Responsibilities:
-Understands the product, how it's used, and advocates for its use within the business where appropriate.
-Owns the consolidated product (functional & non-functional) roadmap for Sales, Ordering & Activation platforms within APS.
-Coordinates across DevOps delivery teams and appropriate business teams in the Sales & Ordering space to ensure alignment on the 'why,' 'what' and 'when' work is done within these DevOps teams.
-Partners with business owners on business needs surrounding policy mandates, strategic initiative features, and process management impacts to drive a functional feature roadmap for the product.
-Drives executive communications on the product's value proposition, roadmap, resiliency & efficacy
-Collaborates with DevOps leaders to ensure proper cadence on release & sprint calendar events (annual, quarterly, release & sprint)
-Manage (publish & track improvement upon) weekly, monthly, etc., metrics on product usage, failure rates, availability & latency
-Strong communication skills needed
-Works with other organizations to continuously improve business processes.
-Acts as a PMO point of contact for senior management stakeholders.
-Keeps abreast of new developments in project management methodologies, agile practices, best practices, and industry standards.
Job Requirements:
-Experience with agile software delivery environments
-Strong business architecture understanding (particularly in area of customer sales & service)
-Ability to negotiate and align priorities across players
-Prior product management experience desired
-Strong preference for telecommunication experience or service provider background
Education Level:
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Field of Study:
-Business, Engineering
Years of Experience:
-10-15 years' experience in technology industry
