Job Description:
The Account Director is a key contact with Razorfish's clients. While managing across different functional teams, which include members from both web dev and web media, in collaboration with senior client partners, the Account Director will work closely with clients to identify their specific needs and business objectives, and then help identify and implement products and services that help achieve the client's goals
Responsibilities:
Senior Client & Industry Relationships
• Owns senior client relationships (mid-size clients) or shares responsibility with VP, CP or CP (large-size clients). Runs day-to-day operations of the accounts
• Shares responsibility for 100% client retention by working with the leadership team to maintaining mid to senior level relationships allowing us to: proactively identify client risks or opportunities and managing client teams to effectively respond to these client needs
• Works across multiple verticals while establishing a network of contacts
• Develop long-term relationships with strategic clients
• Build strong rapport, new and existing clients
• Ability to qualify leads and close new business
Engagement P&L Ownership
• Assists in communicating progress of revenue to budget forecast to the team throughout the year
• Assists senior client partners in attaining P&L targets through a combination of existing business contributions and new business development
• Monitors P&L fluctuations to proactively identify risks and opportunities
• Assists in generating invoices on schedule and collect fees using guidelines set by the Razorfish finance department
• Consistently cultivates a portfolio of new business efforts
Team Management
• Identify needs for core account team members on assigned accounts
• Actively leads or participates in regular update meetings, ongoing communication, etc.
• Actively participate within highly skilled client delivery teams to enhance and deepen client relationships
• Coordinate and advise PM and manage resource management on matters concerning the project
• Assists with new employee on-boarding and training.
Qualifications:
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
• Creative thinking and problem solving

• Proven ability to manage projects to successful completion, multi-task, and work within tight deadlines

• Emerging negotiation skills
• Demonstrated prowess in all MS Office programs
Qualifications & Experience
• 8+ years of related industry experience, preferably consulting, interactive, agency or direct marketing experience
• College degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
• 3+ years of demonstrated track record of developing senior level client relationships - strong client references are preferred
• Experience managing people
• Strong knowledge or experience in marketing and advertising, with particular emphasis on interactive media, direct marketing, strategy, and analytics
• Specific industry (e.g. retail, automotive, financial services, tech, pharma) marketing expertise a plus with existing relationships with Business, IT or Marketing executives within Fortune 2000 companies preferred
