Responsibilities
The Manager of Digital Marketing – Paid Media manages paid media campaigns that stimulate consumer awareness, increase purchase intent and, ultimately, deliver sales for Universal’s and its partners’ various movies, TV shows and performances released on various media platforms – Blu-ray, DVD, electronic sell through, and on-demand. The role will report into the Director of Digital Marketing – Paid Media.
The Manager will be partially responsible for 50+ annual campaigns that stretch across all aspects of digital media, including display, search, mobile, social, programmatic and more. In addition, this individual will manage the associated ad creative and help drive digital media research.
Responsibilities:
Media Plan Development & Execution
Establishing, tracking and assuring adherence to budgets, launch schedules, campaign and marketing objectives
Responsible for the strategy, execution, performance and reporting of the Display and Paid social campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Google’s DoubleClick Bid Manager, Amazon AAP etc.)
Create best-in-class plans with multiple creative and media agencies.
Present recommendations to multiple clients and partners.
Review reports and results. Incorporate learnings into future plan recommendations.
Develop working relationship with all agencies, internal departments, publishers, external clients and third-party vendors
Digital Ad Creative Development
Guide design of eye-catching online and mobile ad creative that engages, excites and drives action.
Strengthen campaign’s overall creative vision and reinforce marketing objectives.
Integrate interactive and social elements to take full advantage of the digital medium.
Help with day-to-day management of key media agencies, creative shops, and publishing partners.
Media Research
Provide analytics for monthly and quarterly performance reports based on KPIs and success metrics
Help identify the effectiveness of current and upcoming digital media opportunities
Assist Director in setting goals and guidelines for media agencies, partners and publishers
Budgets and Billing
Support Digital Director with managing department budgets, purchase orders and handling vendor invoices
Manage schedules for brand teams and media partners
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
2 + years of digital media experience - client and/or agency side
Eligibility Requirements:

Well versed in the Microsoft Office suite specifically, Excel and Power Point
Desired Characteristics
Bachelor’s Degree in related field; Marketing, Mathematics or Economics a plus
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and be very flexible in a fast paced, changing environment
Ability to work individually and with cross functional teams to develop consensus within diverse groups and drive results
Solid understanding of, interest in and experience with digital media, movies, television and the convergence of entertainment and technology
Experience with Mobile and Video advertising in Paid Social and Display
Current knowledge of web/marketing tagging methodologies and tracking is useful
Understanding of Facebook and Google (YouTube, DBM, DCM) digital media platforms and reporting / analysis capabilities
Foundational experience in additional Paid Social platforms (Twitter, SnapChat) desirable
Understanding of Paid Search auction dynamics and optimization approaches
Understanding of DMPs and programmatic platforms
Experience designing and measuring media- and audience-based tests in a variety of channels
Daily optimization and management of campaigns within individual DSPs and Platforms
Strong interpersonal/communications (oral and written) and analytical skills
