The Bell Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology.
Position Description:
This is a hybrid PMO and business development role that is pivotal to the Mobile Devices and Supply Chain organization; responsible for initiating and leading transformational change initiatives in a core business area, products and supply chain. Collaborating with an internal existing team of high performance industry leaders on business and process insights, the Director, PMO and Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for incorporating current and anticipated market dynamics into meaningful innovations in products and processes. Additionally, this individual will drive excellence in execution through the leadership of cross-functional programs designed to improve Bell’s competitiveness on every level. Creativity and thought leadership on lean processes, customer experience and financial management will be key critical components within the delivery of role. Reporting into the VP, Mobile Devices & Supply Chain (MD&L), this is an extraordinary opportunity to partner with other like minded high energy professionals that are passionate about contributing to Bell’s goal to be recognized by customers as Canada’s leading Communications Company.
Job Duties/Accountabilites:
• Innovate and build an infrastructure that will last and enable the growth and stabilization of MD&L systems and processes
• Work with the VP & Directors to identify supply chain automation and enhancement opportunities
• Create and drive MD&L’s strategy execution roadmap
• Lead CAPEX planning and manage systems' OPEX
• Own and drive the front door process. The process facilitates impact analysis of new initiatives. It also assesses the feasibility and potential impacts of new ideas
• Analyze and remedy existing programs and processes through conducting root-cause analysis of existing gaps and failures, and recommending possible solutions
• Develop comprehensive business cases for new programs in collaboration with business owners
• Lead, coach, develop, and retain team members with an emphasis on developing capacity in program analysis, planning, and design
• Support the VP in strategy creation preparation with quarterly all-hands meetings
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual with extensive program management experience along with solid business acumen. Specific requirements include:
◦ Minimum Bachelor of Science and/or Bachelor of Arts
◦ 10 years of experience and a track record in Senior Program Management
◦ PMP, MBA, Strategy execution and product/solution design experience are an asset
◦ Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff and develop high-performance teams
◦ Deep experience in program budgeting and fiscal management
◦ Track record of effectively leading a cross-functional organization with a complex array of programs
◦ Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals
◦ Pragmatic and thoughtful analysis supported by rich experience and good judgement and business skills.
◦ Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
◦ Strong written and verbal communication skills; an engaging, persuasive and passionate communicator
◦ Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, and innovative approach to operational management
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
