The Instagram brand is supported and loved by 600M people and it's vital to maintain our brand health. This position will manage strategic brand projects that include managing all permissions, refining the corporate brand architecture, working with branding agency to develop assets, training and application guidance, and consultation on applying the brand most effectively and well as finding ways to keep the brand fresh. The right candidate will have strong attention to detail, good relationship building skills, strong design skills, and knowledge of brand management.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all brand permissions and 3rd party requests
• Lead global brand strategy roll-outs
• Work with internal partners (ex. design) and agencies to develop and deliver visual and verbal brand – including assets, treatments, photography, and illustrations. Manage brand development projects to keep brand fresh
• Work with brand agency to develop guidelines and other documentation for brand direction
• Work with teams to develop appropriate branding for channel and other partners
• Work with head of Instagram Brand to ensure our brand, both visual and verbal, are globally appealing and can be implemented by the organization
• Work with the Instagram design team to ensure the consistent application of our brand on user interface appearance and product
• Assist in brand activation through training and consulting on application of the brand across a variety of branded communications to improve brand application and overall marketing
• Assist in development and refinement of the brand architecture
• Use data to help identify trends and understand brand requirements to guide future brand direction
• Manage strategic brand projects as required
• Manage business processes and strategy that drive brand value (eg. Business card process, stock photo vendor relationship, etc.)
• Manage brand portal and brand review tool strategy
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7+ years’ experience in Marketing and/or Communications
• Experience managing brand permissions, global brand roll-outs, and brand development projects
• Project Management experience
• Experience working with internal and external teams
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA
• Experience in creative and strategic thinking to various types of branded communications
• Business management acumen combined with project management / action orientation to meet multiple priorities and deadlines while understanding the business.
