Overview and Responsibilities
The Viacom Music group is looking for a senior sales executive to join the team and help to continue to grow the portfolio of advertisers. The VP of Marketing & Partner Solutions (Ad Sales) will be a senior member of the team, working with counterparts in Programming, Marketing, Research, Vantage and Viacom Ad Products to ensure client objectives and sales goals are exceeded. The qualified candidate will be an aggressive executive who has experience and existing relationships with senior level clients as well as in the agency/media buying community and who thrives in working in a highly convergent media environment.
Responsibilities:
• Set strategic direction for short term and long term advertising/marketing sales efforts across a Music team responsible for driving linear and digital revenue (MTV Suite, VH1 and Logo).
• Generate revenue that exceeds Viacom sales goals across both existing clients and new business.
• Lead the Music sales staff and work closely with other Viacom ad sales leads to identify opportunities for collaborative efforts.
• Co-lead upfront and scatter negotiations with agencies/clients.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• 7+ years experience in Television and/or Digital Ad Sales
• Experience in leading a sales organization and growing a business
Additional Qualifications:
• Entrepreneurial spirit and aggressive attitude towards exceeding goals
• Conceptual evangelist who has experience marketing through grass roots efforts
• Relationships with advertisers at the client and agency level
