JIRA Business Analyst
I. Job Summary
| Major goals and objectives.
This position assists in the review, analysis and implementation of processes, systems and user needs for JIRA projects. The Associate Business Analyst documents business requirements and needs and generates associated business solutions that satisfy the company’s business needs. The position provides support and training for multiple departments that use JIRA for development and support processes.

• Serve as internal subject matter expert on implementation, management, and support of JIRA.
• Provide recommendations to end users and leaders on best practices and standardization in implementing and leveraging processes within JIRA.
• Determine ways to optimize and improve JIRA setup and process workflows and identify where functionality can or cannot meet user requests.
• Support multiple projects, including set-up and management of users, project roles, time tracking, security, and plug-ins.
• Customize workflows for multiple projects and create custom fields, new issue types, workflow statuses, transitions, post-functions, field configurations, mandatory fields, and workflow schemes

• Provide user management, training, and support for JIRA to development and project teams.
• Create and maintain detailed technical and user-facing documentation
• Collaborate on problem resolution, team decisions, and project planning.
• Support and manage integrations to external systems as required.

• Develop metrics, dashboards, and advanced filters to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports.
• Apply built-in customization and third party add-ons to extend JIRA functionality as needed.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration required, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 years experience in administration, configuration and support of JIRA.
Minimum of 1 years experience in an application support role working directly with application users.
This includes experience understanding, documenting, and communicating business requirements.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
Basic analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
Basic presentation skills necessary.
