NBC Sports Regional Networks, part of the NBC Sports Group, consists of 10 regional networks that deliver more than 2,200 live sporting events annually, along with breaking news, comprehensive analysis, digital content and original programming, to more than 43 million homes. Responsibilities
The Position
The Senior Vice President will oversee and drive the multiplatform content strategy and initiatives across the NBC Sports Regional Networks. This role will report directly to the President, Group and Strategic Production & Programming and work closely with the EVP & GM, Digital Media, NBC Sports Group in collaboration with General Managers and local digital teams across the NBC Sports Regional Network locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the overall direction of the NBC Sports Regional Networks content strategy by developing, executing, and aligning multiplatform strategies based upon current and emerging trends in the linear and digital programming space
Create and communicate a content strategy roadmap and operationally execute on key objectives
Leverage ratings, market data, and audience research to drive data and analytics that determine effective and sellable strategies
Liaise with General Managers to align the linear and digital businesses as well as lead a multiplatform agenda to drive the fan-based/consumer experience
Collaborate with the product development team to create and evolve best in class distribution portals on all platforms
Partner with the production teams in the field for delivery of content across various platforms
Identify innovative ways to implement new content and monetization strategies across all platforms and communicate plan to key stakeholders across all levels
Develop and maintain close relationships with network content and revenue partners such as sports teams, advertisers, and other related businesses
Oversee a matrix-structured team of local digital leads, editorial, production, video, marketing, product, and advertising fulfillment
Collaborate with other departments, including sales and production, to create and execute programming initiatives to expand the brand
Continually analyze (quantitatively and qualitatively) and evaluate the performance of traffic, products and features against goals, and develop recommendations for improvement
Qualifications/Requirements
The Person
The ideal candidate is both strategic and detail-oriented, as well as a great influencer, with proven leadership experience, and brings a familiarity with the regional sports model. This individual must be comfortable working with all levels and geographies of the organization, and across the business, production, technology, and sales teams in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum 12 years of experience in multiplatform content and programming ideally in the sports media and/or cable industry with a particular knowledge of local sports media
Strong experience in and knowledge of the digital distribution and product fields with the ability to create actionable plans that utilize cutting edge digital opportunities
Deep understanding of content strategy with an ability to manage a portfolio of channels and/or programs across different platforms
Strong knowledge of linear and nonlinear viewing habits and media consumption patterns and great awareness of the latest trends in a changing media landscape
Analytical / strategic thinker, creative problem solver, resourceful, able to initiate change and motivate innovation and creativity
Strong leader and persuasive communicator with a vision; proven ability to self-motivate, work independently as well as collaboratively and motivate and inspire a team; excellent writing and verbal presentation skills
Exceptional execution-focus with the ability to multi-task and lead wide ranging business initiatives
A Bachelors’ degree from an accredited and recognized institution of higher learning is required with an advanced degree ideal
