Responsibilities
This position is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Reporting to Sr. Director, Sales & Marketing - Latin America, the Director of Marketing is responsible for establishing and implementing market-relevant strategic and tactical communication plans.
Designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand, efforts are to be focused towards driving Universal Orlando Resort attendance via consumer marketing programs, trade marketing programs, online branding and e-commerce. Additional responsibility in ensuring third party campaigns meets our brand and communication requirements.
PURPOSE:
• To proactively research and evaluate developments in consumer trends and behaviors across all Latin America markets and identify relevant opportunities that will optimize return on investment from marketing initiatives.
• To help develop a comprehensive & strategic marketing and communication plan with in-market relevance, aligned to the strategic priorities of the business.
• To champion development of creative assets and initiatives that enable Latin America team to deliver meaningful and commercially viable campaigns.
• To identify and deliver initiatives to drive Latin customer advocacy
• Spearhead new and emerging market development opportunities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Consumer reach
◦ Responsible for driving consumer awareness and intent to visit Universal Orlando Resort to support Universal Orlando Resort business goals
◦ Working with the Sr. Director, Latin America, Brand, and Integrated Marketing Communications, defines business priorities and develops multi-channel strategic Communication plans
◦ Working with International Media Team, shapes multi-media consumer campaigns and annual budgets
◦ Supports the development of Universal Orlando Resort website branding and content for International to support Point of Origin goals
• B2B2C engagement and conversion
◦ Leads the planning & delivery of multi-media trade initiatives to support the pre-departure sales goals
◦ Responsible for the development of meaningful and relevant creative assets and messaging on time and in budget
• Effective Project & Process Management
• Personal Team Development and Talent Management
Qualifications/Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Has to be fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and Englishto A. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. B. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. C. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.
• REASONING ABILITY: A. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. B. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
EDUCATION: Marketing Degree and/or 7-10 Years Marketing experience.
EXPERIENCE:
• Trade marketing experience is a plus;
• 3-5 Years management experience;
• 3-5 Years E-Commerce and an online environment required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
