Job Description
GQ is seeking an Associate Director, Integrated Marketing to join our Integrated Marketing Department. The role will require the individual to ideate marketing concepts, present integrated proposals, and execute programs that will help attract, maintain and increase GQ’s print, digital, and event advertising business across the retail and fashion categories.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ideation; writing & presentation; project management including event execution.
• Develop integrated marketing proposals across a variety of selling categories and budget levels with a specific focus on the retail + fashion categories. Strong proposal writing and presentation skills required.
• Act as retail/fashion category expert and resource, including development of industry partnerships and sales opportunities, etc. when appropriate and develop and communicate these to both the sales and marketing teams.
• Act as the client facing lead and project manage sold programs across media platforms. Engage and oversee internal departments and outside vendors to achieve successful outcomes.
• Manage all custom program budgets including invoice processing, monthly reporting and year-end actualization.
• Support department signature programs, including owning activations within larger tentpole events and executing media sponsorships that are part of them.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3+ years experience in integrated marketing within the media industry
• Strong writing and creative thinking abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience executing sponsored activations at large events and retail/boutique events
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting
• Strong knowledge of digital and mobile advertising capabilities and implementation, etc.
• Strong knowledge of InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong interest in and knowledge of the fashion, sports and entertainment industries
• Strong understanding of current social media platforms
