Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated, experienced DevOps manager to join our Cloud Infrastructure team.
As an ideal candidate, you’ve managed DevOps or Site Reliability teams running and delivering public modern web applications.
You should have strong knowledge of the current web technologies and DevOps practices and are in tune with the industry trends. You are comfortable in an agile environment and know how to build and guide a highly effective and high performing team. Most of all, you can inspire a team to do great things. Responsibilities
• Build and manage a DevOps team responsible for delivery, scaling, and instrumentation of tools and production applications across multiple environments
• Work with your team to help understand requirements, evaluate new technologies, new architecture and help drive decisions
• Build collaborative partnerships with software architects, technical leads and key individuals within other functional organizations.
• Build and foster a high performance culture, mentor team members and provide your team with the tools and motivation to make things happen
• Help drive innovation while encouraging standards and efficiency
• Manage infrastructure costs and budgets
• Participate in the Engineering organization as a leader driving priorities, policies, goals, project coordination, etc
• Establish and maintain standards and processes for all work done by the DevOps team, including everything from coding standards to on-call
Requirements
• 2+ years industry experience in a hands-on DevOps or SRE role supporting customer facing web services
• 2+ years industry experience in personnel management of DevOps teams supporting customer facing web services
• Proven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous issues
• People management experience with a demonstrated track record of strong team building and effective mentoring.
• Strong understanding of good DevOps and architecture practices for Web services
• Experience with key technologies and tools such as CI/CD (Jenkins), Configuration Management (Chef, Puppet), Git, development languages (Java, Python, Ruby), Public Clouds (AWS)
• Experience with Scrum and agile development processes and methodologies
• Excellent communication and written skills
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience working with AWS or other dynamically-scalable cloud environments
