Responsibilities
Deliver the UPHE Licensees and Licensing budget through leading, managing and coordination of the Licensee/Licensing team and our 3rd party partners.
Contribute overall to UPHE as a key strategic & commercial business leader within the wider team.
Responsibilities to include:
• Deliver assigned OCF budget for worldwide Territory & Title Licensing
• Drive OCF royalties via challenging territory forecasts.
• Set campaign targets and approve promotions, incentives and deal support.
• Work with partners to drive new opportunities.
• Negotiate deal terms including all MGs that will enable delivery of the Territory Licensing budget.
• Ensure compliance and audit process requirements are met
• Terrtiory Mgt/Process
• Manage release date management across licensee territories – ensure this process is accurate, well reported and works within NBCU strategy and divisions (TVD/New Media) and under UPHE guidelines ie EIRDs
• Support Licensee contacts in a timely and effective manner.
• Deliver $ targets from Global Licensing deals on Film deep library and All Rights deals.
• Deliver a robust process of approvals and rights checks
• Improve process with OPCOs on titles released
• All rights sales from UPHE Content Group – ensure robust process
• Internal reporting
• Oversee all RX updates, dashboards and new release 16 week forecasts
• Compile and circulate periodic management update on business sector
• Internal title forecasting and be a key contact for green lighting releases.
• Team
• Lead team and ensure all team are working to high standard
• Ensure team is set up to work across 3 hubs in an effective and efficient way
• Provide coaching and development for all reports
Qualifications/Requirements
Skill set
• Deal negotiation - proven ability to negotiate multi territory deals
• Results – proven track record of delivering results, able to hold partners accountable
• Commercial – strong awareness of delivering results in international HE markets.
• Leadership - lead a team, challenge individuals to excel in performance
• Process - understanding of the importance to balance excellent admin and process alongside commercial business development activities.
• Interpersonal - strong interpersonal and relationship skills to develop a network of partners
• Communication – excellent at concise and timely communication
