The Associate Product Manager for Mathematics and Science supports the Product Management Team in assigned aspects of product line management – in particular, new product development and life-cycle management. Primary responsibilities include locating, maintaining and communicating competitive information, analyzing state standards against current and proposed product, analyzing HMH and competitive pricing and packaging, and engaging with the math and science product management teams, learning architects, sales, sales enablement, product marketing and GSSM around specific data and deliverables required by those groups. Additional responsibilities include participating in the creation of business cases, market intelligence planning and customer facing sales and sales support.
The Associate Product Manager must have a BS/BA in education, strong working knowledge of the NGSS standards, at least 5 years classroom teaching experience in mathematics or science (science is preferred), excellent communication skills, the ability to develop expertise across the mathematics and science product lines and success working within strict deadlines. Previous publishing experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
