Major Responsibilities:
The Contract Manager will be responsible for providing legal support for marketing, sales and product groups serving both residential and commercial customer, and drafting, reviewing, and negotiating general commercial contracts on behalf of Comcast and its affiliates under the supervision of Comcast attorneys.
Additional Responsibilities-General Duties:
-Review, under supervision, of marketing creative to ensure compliance with Company requirements regarding disclosures and compliance with consumer laws.
-Review of multicultural tactics.
-Review, negotiate and draft agreements of moderate complexity related to sales operations
-Possess knowledge of the law and legal processes.
-Demonstrate excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
-Demonstrate proficiency with personal computers: Excel and Word required; PowerPoint desirable.
-Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
-Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• B.A. or B.S
• J.D. from accredited law school or paralegal certificate preferred
• Minimum of 3 years' experience, including experience in contract review, negotiation and drafting.
• Excellent negotiating, drafting, problem solving and communications skills.
• Ability to work effectively with management and operations personnel, simultaneously manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with consistently high quality work product.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
Other duties related to the department:
• Prepares, negotiates, and manages various standard and non-standard
contracts for the organization to ensure they comply with business
requirements as well as corporate policy.
• Creates, updates, and preserves important corporate records.
• Performs legal research and reports findings to management.
• Drafts legal documents of some complexity.
• Possesses knowledge of the law and legal processes.
• Oversees the planning and execution of board meetings. Provides
support as needed.
Job Specification:
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
• Generally requires 5-7 years related experience
