Responsibilities
Responsible for programming the content on the front doors of E! News on desktop, mobile web and in app to ensure that the right content is reaching the right audience
Ensure that the E! News voice is consistent across all digital platforms but also that the correct iteration of that voice is being used on the correct platform
Conceive of and execute platform-specific, traffic-growing strategy
Work with writers to improve headlines for each experience and tweak where necessary
Generate mobile web- and app-only content ideas and work with the content team to execute/oversee execution
Work with research teams to monitor performance across digital platforms and identify trends, top performers, key celebrities, etc. for each platform
Liaise with the product and design teams regarding look and functionality of website, mobile web and app
Help with editing and headline writing on an as-needed basis
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years digital media experience, including some cross platform programming
Eligibility Requirements:
Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered
Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice
Must be willing to work in New York
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
Must have work authorization to work in the United States
Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
Desired Characteristics
Content programming experience on mobile platforms strongly desired.
Editorially minded with an understanding of which stories will pop on which platform
Writing experience and strong grammatical skills
Creative thinker who can write smart headlines that will entertain and engage users and also generate content ideas for each platform
Data focused with experience using Chartbeat, Omniture and Google Analytics
Celebrity and pop culture enthusiast who never tires of reading about Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum and Kim Kardashian
Deep understanding of current platforms, especially mobile, and a curiosity about emerging platforms
Strong knowledge and understanding of the E! audience and how to cater to it
