We are looking for a passionate and seasoned growth marketing leader who will join the marketing organization to grow Spotify’s fan base and their lifetime value with immersive and contextual experiences across channels. You will lead and define the marketing innovation process and framework needed to test both incremental and breakthrough innovation ideas that maximize acquisition and retention for the company. You will identify new partnerships and pilots with startups; test new experiences, insights, channels and business models as well as manage internal stakeholders and partners across various functions.
What You’ll Do:
• Establish a marketing innovation platform, process and framework that pilots innovative marketing capabilities and experiences; needed to address unmet needs for both fans and artists.
• Build and execute against a marketing innovation vision, strategy and roadmap aimed at making Spotify the best marketplace for both fans and artists.
• Establish a marketing innovation pipeline and pilot portfolio focusing on business driven ideas as well as experience/technology driven ideas as part of a process that involves stakeholder alignment and approval.
• The marketing innovation process should include building brand and stakeholder relationship to understand business opportunities and growth areas and using that to drive the idea curation and qualification process with both an internal and external community
• Explore and evaluate the competitive landscape, new data and technology capabilities to create pilot opportunities for more immersive and relevant experiences and marketing programs.
• Manage the idea scouting process, building an operating plan of activities, hosting innovation events, digital accelerators & incubators
• Partner with the product and marketing leaders to prioritize key focus areas for growth & innovation.
• Synthesize trends, behaviors, and needs into actionable insights, strategies, to enable always-on; data-driven marketing programs.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders across tech, product, marketing & content as well as external vendors and partners including start-ups; data companies; insights and research firms.
• Manage the idea evaluation process hosting Monthly Discovery Days with Lab Leaders and Quarterly Reviews with internal stakeholders.
Who you are:
• You’re an executive-level marketing and innovation leader with 15+ years of experience. You have a track record of success within disruptive, fast-paced companies.
• Experience managing and driving innovation projects or experience in working in a lab environment
• Strong understanding of brand/business strategy complimented by deep marketing & creative technology skills as well as a creative mindset
• You’re passionate about leading change in our rapidly evolving industry. You have a strong point of view on what should happen to make it better for Fans & Artists.
• Skilled at managing stakeholders, clients (internal or external) and presenting business cases for new ideas and initiatives
• You have built and led strong, cross-functional teams that span growth marketing, data and technology, product marketing, brand marketing, co-marketing, community management.
• Experience with Social Media/Mobile, Paid, Earned & Owned media platforms & technologies | Data Analytics – Strategies, technologies, reporting
• You are a strategic thinker who feels confident making analytical and creative decisions.
