Job Duties: Develop, create, modify and implement computer applications software of specialized modules in PHP/Drupal according to requirements and best practices. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, designs and architectural guidance for high availability, performance, and scale with the goal of optimizing operational efficiency. Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure complete delivery of web applications and provide documentation as required. Architect and develop high-quality code. Facilitate code reviews, planning sessions and routine status stand-ups. Participate in daily meetings and regular planning and review sessions. Provide accurate levels of effort time estimates and provide recommendations for feature prioritization. Assist in release/deployment planning and execution activities.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any type), Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or a related field, and 6 years of work experience in position offered or related, including 6 years of experience with: Drupal application development, particularly advanced level experience with Drupal architecture, best practices, and coding standards; Working on consumer facing web applications at scale in a large media company; PHP5, MySQL and HTML/CSS/AJAX/JavaScript; DevOps experience including Jenkins; Web servers including Nginx, Apache and IIS, CDN's and caching techniques; Caching techniques, including Akamai CDN, Cloudfront, Varnish, Memcache.
