Position Overview
A Development Manager (DM) at EA, is a critical role and responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of a game, on time and within budget. The DM coordinates with multiple departments across multiple locations and works with multiple processes within the organization to ensure smooth and successful product development and deployment. The DM works on the product development team and owns the high-level project schedule, budget and quality.

Key Responsibilities
�. Manage multiple projects simultaneously
� . Manage the cross-functional teams consisting of software engineers, QA testers, artists and production managers to ensure all projects are delivered on time, with the quality and within budget
� . Establish effective Project Management processes and drive continuous process refinements
� . Maintain the overall delivery plan for games products including defining the project scope, reviewing delivery schedules, resource plans, monitoring key risks and mitigations
� . Partner with the creative leadership in the studio to optimize the trade-off between quality, time and cost for product issues while focusing on the company's business objectives
� . Adopt company-wide best practices, technologies and tools for gaining efficiencies during product development
� . Mentor and motivate team members to achieve organizational goals
� . Build a strong, effective relationship with stakeholders in EA global studios, especially China studio
� . Report project status, risks and capacity plan especially of Software Engineering team to Development Director on a needed basis
� . Deep dive software engineering risks and issues with a Technical Director & Software Engineering leads and make contingency plans with them
� . Tracking and triage of live issues
� . Work closely with a Technical Director and Software Engineering team leads
� . Coordinates the face to face meetings, video and audio conferences, distribute the meeting minutes (with action items/due dates/owners)
Requirements
� . A performance driven self-starter with a passion for defining the future of EA’s business
� . 7 to 10 years of experience in Software Development including at least 2 years’ project management experience
� . Strong technology background
� . Degree in Engineering or equivalent
� . Excellent knowledge of software development tools, processes and executions planning
� . Proficient with software development tools such as Hansoft, JIRA or Dev. Track
� . Ability to pick up new software quickly (EA’s custom built tools and software)
� . Excellent knowledge of project management, especially internal and external software development process
� . Work experience using scrum and agile technologies is required
� . Thorough documentation and writing skills both in Korean and English
� . Fluent in spoken English, full professional proficiency in writing and reading
� . Strong negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills
� . Effective communication skills across all levels of an organization and collaborative work style with great interpersonal skills
� . Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve product design and technical issues.
� . Ability to act professionally, work independently, and respond to matters in a timely and efficient manner
� . Ability to connect with people from diverse background(s) and locations and align the moving parts with Business/Team priorities
Preferred Skills
� . Experience working in an on-line game development environment and interest in on-line games and the on-line game industry
� . Experience working as a Software PM
� . Basic knowledge of finance or accounting
� . PMP certificate
� . Certified scrum master
� . Proficient with MS Office, especially MS Project skill
� . Fluent in spoken Chinese, professional proficiency in writing and reading
