The Field Services team thrives on providing installation and repair services for business and residential customers using the latest technology, including Fibre, Optical Ethernet, IPVPN.

Bell’s Field Services Operational Support team is responsible for applying Business Intelligence skills to optimize our field operations. This is a terrific opportunity for recent graduates or graduating students wanting to influence the business and make a real impact to customers.
You will be joining a new analytics team full of data, math and technology-loving experts. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about technologies such as wireless and wire line communications, and genuinely curious to learn how things work. Your insights and recommendations will be presented directly to our executive team and you will work with various operations teams such as field technicians, level two technical supports, internal call centres, and other BI teams across the company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create predictive algorithms, models and a recommendation engine to optimize the repair experience a customer goes through during a technical / service issue.
• Combine network diagnostic data, performance information, technical specifications and customer demographics to predict which customers will be calling us for a repair issue, what the problem is, and recommended solution.
• Perform ad hoc data analysis as well as deep dives to find value and insights.
• Topics will range from operations management and call centre optimization to customer behaviour and product performance.
• Build easy to use dashboards and stunning visualizations so our front line workers can take advantage of the insights you are creating in real time.
• Present complex analysis clearly to senior executives.
Required Competencies:
• Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Management Science, Business or other quantitative field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Humble and curious to learn more.
• Driven and motivated to make things happen.
• Interest in technology - we love to hear about apps, websites, programming, home networking, or other tech hobbies you may have
• Enjoy solving problems and great attention to detail
• Excel and PowerPoint fluency
Preferred Skills:
• Know SQL like the back of your hand
• Be a wizard in SAS EG and/or SAS Enterprise Miner
• Know scripting languages that can be used for statistical models (R or Python)
• Familiarity with other BI software such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, MS SQL Server, Teradata, etc.
• Knowledge of telecom technologies (DSL, IPTV, FTTH, VoIP, LTE, 5Ghz WiFi 802.11ac, etc.)
