As Audience specialists, we are here to help our advertisers use Yahoo’s programmatic solutions to achieve their goals. Our goal is to grow and develop revenues from both existing and new prospects. As well as our managed business, we also support self-service clients accessing our supply through 3rd party DSPs as well as through Yahoo’s own DSP.
A Lot About You
We are looking for someone who loves to sell in a consultative way, and can really get into the mindset of a consumer, and use that to determine which Yahoo audiences would best respond to the advertiser's message. The successful candidate will be someone who loves to use data as part of any solution and is comfortable proactively targeting and prospecting new clients. You will own your own book of business here, so ability to focus on the best long term strategy for these clients is important as well as determining when a shorter term approach is required to achieve revenue goals. In summary, we need someone who is both a skilled sales person as well as technicallycompetent in programmatic trading and audience targeting. With a fantastic new platform at our fingertips, enabling easier access to the power of Yahoo data, our team are looking forward to leading pitches with the sales team and growing our audience targeting business.
Your Day
• Driving revenue growth on your client portfolio
• Providing specialist sales support to the general sales team around all audience targeting products. This includes
both brand and performance campaigns that use to data to inform targeting
• Lead sales through programmatic trading within your portfolio. General channels for programmatic revenues will
include programmatic buyers using a third party DSP as well as buyers using Yahoo’s own buying platform
• Lead sales efforts on Yahoo’s Gemini Native ads to your client portfolio
• Revenue reporting & forecasting on his portfolio for the audience business
• Proactively targeting and prospecting new clients, working closely with the sales teams to maximize revenue
from all audience targeting and performance focused clients.
• Sharing knowledge, spreading enthusiasm to and empowering sales teams with data, programmatic, and
audience targeting knowledge
You Must Have
• Demonstrated experience in a sales-focused role, preferably in performance display/video, audience targeting or
programmatic sales. Sales skills will include: an intense focus on customer needs; the ability to build strong
relationships both internally with the sales team and externally with your client base; the ability to put yourself
into the role of the consumer and customize the pitch and offer presented to your clients based on this
• Strong understanding of the programmatic landscape, key trends and competitors in this area
• Able to converse eloquently and persuasively about the benefits of using data to deliver campaigns
• Fluent English as a 1st or 2nd language
• Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, highly changing and nascent marketplace and be driven to meet and
exceed targets
