Overview:
This position focuses on store systems support & engineering delivering IT solutions that drive our bookseller’s efforts to assist customers including applications, inventory and point of sale solutions. In this position the manager will interact heavily with field store contacts (as well as, outsourced vendors to build state of the art solutions and troubleshoot complex issues. This role will manage a team of one analyst and one systems engineer.
Responsibilities:
Provides multi-level support & engineering to the stores and the teams supporting the stores.
Builds project deliverables and manages the tasks throughout project timeline.
Delivers efficient and financially responsible IT solutions to enhance the store employee’s user experience.
Works side by side with many IT teams troubleshooting store system related issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a fast paced environment – preferably in a retail setting.
Windows Server & Desktop Engineering including imaging (Physical & Virtual environments).
Knowledge of scripting languages - Batch script, VBscript, AutoIT, Powershell.
Knowledge of software delivery & patch management solutions such as Microsoft SCCM and WSUS & GFI Essentials.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Server OS and Desktop OS / APPS including Office365 as well as MDM solutions.
Project management experience required.
Excellent PC skills with a superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and other database software.
Must be flexible and be willing to be part of on call rotation / troubleshoot issues off hours.
