The Vice President of Enrollment Management for Pearson Embanet is the global leader responsible for effective student recruitment.
Position Responsibilities:
• Provide global leadership for the Admissions function including budget, planning, production, hiring, staffing, training, performance management, recognition, and leadership.
• Directly manage the company’s Directors of Admission located in Toronto, Chicago, Phoenix and Orlando.
• Execute strategy and tactics for effective student recruitment in Pearson Embanet’s 100+ online programs to maximize enrollments and optimize efficiency while operating within our culture and service themes.
• Effectively partner with Marketing, Educational Services and other appropriate functional leaders to ensure alignment of student outreach through matriculation.
• Develop and maintain productive communication with Pearson Embanet’s current and prospective Academic Partners.
• Create a culture of fun and performance.
• Support the consulting and business development functions by acting as a subject matter expert as needed.
• Build the value for shareholders, employees, Academic Partners and students.
Qualifications
• BA/BS degree from accredited institution required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated effective leadership and management of a large and distributed admissions team. Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience managing and leading various inside sales teams performing in a high-relationship consultative sales process, with experience as a department head.
• Significant experience with distance education and in college admission and third-party recruitment assistance with highly-regarded non-profit institutions.
• Demonstrated capability in cross-functional project management.
• Ability to diagnose and address opportunities to improve and drive positive change through the organization effectively handling conflict.
• The right candidate will have the ability to lead growth in the department staffed in multiple locations with more than 500 employees.
• Demonstrated ability to conceive and communicate a compelling vision for the department and Company.
• Passion for driving performance against goals while creating a positive, fun and productive environment.
• Demonstrated ability to formulate strategy and lead the implementation of operational initiatives to meet it.
• Strong organization, analytical, and motivating skills.
• Collaborative communication style, builds relationships with other departments, not barriers.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Must understand the culture of higher education and represent the Company well in interactions with current and potential Academic Partners.
