DESCRIPTION:
1. Oversee all employee payroll issues including distributing and collecting weekly time sheets, submitting additional payments of non-CBS payroll employees, and tracking comp day balances.
2. Oversee all talent/production personnel payments and submitting to Entertainment Partners.
3. Submit monthly WGA report and keep current with various unions’ issues.
4. Generate, manage and process purchase orders and check requisitions requested by the various west coast Marketing departments.
5. Analyze posting register during month-end close and review accounting entries and transfer journals
6. Coordinate timely invoice payments with Shared Services.
7. Prepare and submit expense reports for the EVP and SVP of On-Air Promotion, VP of Production & Operations, and various Creative Directors.
8. Monitor daily Cloud activity and report potential overages to management.
9. Conduct ad hoc accounting and financial analysis for the Manager of Financial Operations & Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree with a major in Finance or Accounting preferred. Background in standard accounting/business practices and procedures or minimum of two years of experience working in an accounting/financial environment is required.
Preferred:
1. Must possess strong analytical and accounting skills, as well as a clear understanding of financial planning concepts.
2. Must have strong organizational abilities and be very detail oriented.
3. Must be computer literate (Windows, Excel, Word, and Access).
4. Additional requisite skills are: strong analytical skills, well organized and detail oriented, strong verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work well under pressure in order to deal with daily on-air scheduling deadlines.
5. Able to make independent decisions in the handling of sensitive and confidential information while exercising good judgment and discretion.
