As a Regional Sales Representative, you will sell Tribune’s diverse portfolio including print, digital, mobile, direct mail, out of home, social media and event marketing to new and existing business. This position covers the Southwest territory, based out of our office in Oak Forest, IL. The primary focus for this role is on aggressive development of new clients and growing existing local small-to-medium sized retail business accounts.

Responsibilities:
• Grow revenue from new and existing clients in a defined geographical territory by persuading customers to buy advertising.
• Maximize revenue by monitoring and evaluating changes in market, emerging trends, competitive shifts and customer challenges & opportunities.
• Apply strategic solutions across the Tribune portfolio, stealing market share, and exceeding customer expectations in delivering desired results.
• Fully utilize sales skills in prospecting, fact finding, proposal writing and delivering presentations to explain the benefits of using the Tribune portfolio, and closing the deal.
• Identify customer needs and who controls the advertising budget through pre-call planning, utilization of marketing resources and statistics on readership figures, competitive analysis, and customer feedback, in order to connect meaningful media solutions across the Tribune portfolio.
• Foster and develop professional relationships within the community and client organizations by attending community, chamber, industry and client functions.
• Work collaboratively across the organization to build meaningful cross platform solutions for new and existing clients.
• Adherence to internal processes and reporting to ensure that all aspects of campaign management are executed correctly.
• Utilize support roles and resources in order to maximize sales time.
• Deliver uncompromising customer support and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Liberal Arts or equivalent related experience in Marketing and/or Sales.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Sales/Marketing with demonstrated success in exceeding revenue targets.
• Candidate must be highly motivated with a passion for customer satisfaction.
• Candidate must be analytical, persuasive, and possess strong communication skills.
• Ability to excel in a highly competitive environment and adaptability to a rapidly evolving media landscape.
• Requires demonstrated understanding of traditional and emerging media marketing solutions.
• Requires proficient business development, strategic thinking, presentation, time management, and closing skills.
• Requires the ability to entertain and travel to customer sites and industry functions.
• Requires a valid driver's license.
