A Little About Us
We, the Audience Ads and Gemini Optimisation Team, serve a critical role in the management and optimisation of Audience Ads and Gemini campaigns. Our mission is to effectively manage advertising campaigns run on the Yahoo Audience Ads and Gemini Networks, maximising sales revenue and operating margin whilst meeting or exceeding advertiser goals.
A Lot About You
We’re looking for an optimisation expert who has a variety of experience dealing with complex performance campaigns from both agencies and direct advertisers. Your analytical and creative skills are second to none and you will provide innovative/consultative ideas both to clients and to your peers.
Your Day
• Responsible for campaign planning and delivery management with the objective of reaching client ROI goals for Gemini and Audience Ads campaign
• Work independently to identify and prioritise opportunities for improved campaign performance and growth across a set of Yahoo’s highest value Audience Ads and Gemini Accounts.
• Offer consultative ideas to support sales teams in growing revenue, new business pitches and maintaining client relationships
• Communicate directly with advertisers at all levels of their organisation to promote behavior that grows spends and also ensures long-term client success.
• Use Excel and other reporting tools to evaluate behavioral, creative and media data to improve campaign performance; investigating and resolving campaign problems when necessary (e.g. delivery discrepancies, pixels)
• Creative optimisation: identifying relevant keywords, creating and testing effective ad copy and images, selecting appropriate landing pages, and targeting the right audiences – all to maximise our advertisers’ ROI.
• Create post campaign performance reports for clients/agencies.
• Share optimisation best practices with the wider Analyst team
• Participate in ad-hoc projects including development of best practices, new analytical techniques and industry-specific insights.
• Build strategic level relationships with exchange business decision makers at agencies, advertisers, and TD’s
You Must Have
• 8+ years of experience in a related field (Campaign Management, Account Management, Optimisation)
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic marketing advice either within a company or as part of an agency.
• Strong problem-solving, numerical and analytical skills; advanced Excel skills including advanced formulas, macros and VBA; fluency in English;.
• Experience in using ad serving technologies (e.g. DART, Mediaplex, Atlas) and ad code is an advantage
• Ability to independently manage a varied portfolio of key clients and campaign types (CPM, CPC, CPA)
• Strong understanding of digital marketing (including PPC and Native) and best practice campaign management, and a drive to stay up-to-date on cutting edge industry trends.
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in high-pressure situations
• Excellent presentation and project management skills; high attention to detail
• Proactive in solving non routine problems and developing possible solutions
• Ability to solve problems and identify opportunities through the use of analytics, category expertise and critical thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to “think on your feet”
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
