Job Summary:
Responsible for monitoring day-to-day technician staffing. Assists with the development of staffing forecasts and schedules/shifts. Works with the technician supervisors to track and adjust the schedule, as needed, to meet technicians' schedule requests and the needs of the business in order to ensure quality service to the customer. Keeps technician profiles up to date in the appropriate workforce management tool. Has developed specialized knowledge/skills in own area. May act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Core Responsibilities:
• Assist with forecast, schedule, service level and technician performance reporting.
• Assist with the development of annual, monthly, weekly, daily and intra-day projections of staffing requirements and shift vacancies.
• Advise and assist tech ops management in the development and execution of staffing plans and shift bids.
• Identify current and upcoming schedule needs on a day-to-day basis, including coordination of training, vacation and flex schedules for maximum daily labor utilization.
• Provide assistance in establishing schedules by days and shifts for all technicians.
• Maintain previous and current schedules in workforce management applications.
• Handle all associate scheduling changes and process requests according to guidelines and policies.
• Recommend improvements to the scheduling and capacity control processes. Responsible for notifying lead, supervisor, or manager of an assigned project, duty, task, or function that cannot be completed as required and seek support to ensure it is completed.
• Perform report analysis and compilation for productivity, compliance, and performance metrics associated with workforce management.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
